At home in a lounge, entrance, dining area or reception. Pale finishes keep the canopy feeling light; walnut and charcoal stone lend a calmer, more grounded setting. Leave space for the crown to open and for easy leaf cleaning.
Keep it warm in bright, filtered light, away from harsh midday sun, air-conditioning and repeated moves. Water thoroughly once the compost surface has dried slightly, let the excess drain, then empty the saucer or outer planter. Ease off as drying slows in wet or cool weather.
The large, heart-shaped leaves make an instant focal point — one specimen alone can hold a reception area or meeting room without needing company. It prefers a fixed spot and dislikes being shuffled around, so it suits a corner where the furniture layout doesn’t change often.
